
Stock in Focus: Government Navratna company NBCC (India) Ltd said on Monday, January 5 that it has received work orders worth about ₹134.05 crore. According to the company, these orders have been received as part of its regular business operations.
Among these orders, a contract worth ₹ 45.87 crore has been received from Maharaja Shriram Chandra Bhanjan Dev University of Odisha. This project is related to construction, repair and renovation work in the university campus located at Baripada in Mayurbhanj district under PM-USHA scheme.
Second big order for school infrastructure
NBCC has received another order worth ₹88.18 crore from Odisha School Program Authority, Bhubaneswar. This order pertains to the implementation of civil works under the Godabarisha Mishra Adarsh Primary School Scheme.
Both contracts are with domestic institutions
NBCC has clarified that both these contracts have been given by domestic institutions. These include Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services and will be performed as per the terms and conditions stipulated by the respective clients.
Big orders were received even at the end of December
Earlier, on December 31, NBCC (India) Ltd had reported that it had received three domestic work orders worth about ₹220.31 crore. The largest order among these was for ₹163.12 crore. It was given by Canara Bank for planning, designing and construction of its head office in Manyata Tech Park, Bengaluru.
Got work from Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti also
The remaining two orders were received from Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. These include a contract worth ₹9.01 crore for the construction of a boys hostel in Maharashtra and an order worth ₹48.18 crore for developing a permanent campus in Telangana.

Shares of NBCC (India) Ltd closed 2.46 per cent lower at ₹119.65 on the NSE on Monday, January 5. The stock is up 3.21% in the last 6 months. At the same time, it has given a strong return of 36.20% in 1 year. The market cap of the company is Rs 32.27 thousand crore.
