Stock in focus: Public sector rail company RailTel Corporation of India Limited has received an order of ₹ 105.74 crore from Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC). This project is to improve digital learning infrastructure in state government schools. Its purpose is to create a smart classroom especially under the Kasturba Gandhi Girls School (KGBV) scheme.
What will be done under the project?
According to RailTel, this order will include the supply of smart classroom solutions, procurement of equipment, installation and integration of digital learning tools. The time limit for completion of this contract is till 14 January 2026.
Second order under PM Shri Scheme
Earlier on 13 September, RailTel received a letter of accepting of ₹ 209.79 crore from BEPC. This is to implement the education quality innovation initiative under the PM Shri Scheme.
The project includes the supply and implementation of ICT Labs, Integrated Science and Maths Labs, Smart Classroom and Education Matterials. Its objective is to provide modern learning tools in Bihar schools and to ensure better access to digital learning resources.
