
Ola electric: Ola Electric has started using 4680 battery cells made by itself. It is first integrated into two major models- S1 Pro Plus Electric Scooter and Roadster X Plus Motorcycle. This is an important place in the localization strategy of Ola Electric. Bhavish Aggarwal, founder and chairman of Ola Electric, said that now everything inside the scooter is made in India. Delivery will be started from these trains Navratri.
The price of both trains reduced
The S1 Pro Plus of Ola Electric will now be available for Rs 1,69,999. At the same time, the new price of Roadster X Plus has been fixed at Rs 1,89,999. Earlier, their price was Rs 1,99,999 and Rs 2,24,000 respectively. This price reduction can prove to be a big relief for customers and will increase competition in the country’s EV market.
Ola GigaFACTORY and Battery
Ola’s 110 -acre Ola GigaFACTORY is now in operation. Its initial production capacity is 5 GWH. There is a plan to increase it to 100 GWH in a sequential manner. India’s EV industry still depends on China, Taiwan, Japan and Korea for the battery.
Ola Electric currently buys sales from LG Chem (South Korea) and Chinese suppliers. The company had earlier stopped plans to use their indigenous battery cell. The aim was to stabilize the performance of new trains.
The backward integration from S1 Pro Plus and Roadster X Plus will be completed in a systematic manner. This means that now the entire battery and other important parts will be in India. However, the company has not given any definite deadline for this process.
New Products – S1 Pro Sport
The company has also introduced the S1 Pro Sport, which costs Rs 1,49,999. Its booking has started and delivery will start from January 2026. The top speed of S1 Pro Sport is 152 km per hour. This is a special option for customers with high-speed EV.
Flagship motorcycle-diamondhead
Ola has also released the teaser of its upcoming premium motorcycle Diamondhead. It will use Ola Electric’s end -end battery cell technology and Krutrim’s developed indigenous AI chip. Diamondhead delivery is expected to start by 2027 and it is expected to cost around Rs 5 lakh.
How did Ola’s quarterly results?
Ola Electric’s consolidated net loss was Rs 428 crore in the June quarter. This March is less than a loss of 870 crores in the quarter, but more than 347 crores a year ago. In this quarter, the revenue came to Rs 828 crore, which is 49.6 percent less on an annual basis. Despite this, the company was Ebitda positive in the June quarter.
Ola Electric’s share price
Ola Electric’s stock closed at Rs 41.70 on Thursday with a decline of 2.96%. The stock has come down 31.96% in the last 6 months and 71.51% in 1 year. This year i.e. in 2025 also the stock has fallen 51.64%. The market cap of Ola Electric is 17.26 thousand crores.
