In August 2024, the Lasted Infrastructure Company Sagal India, Himachal Pradesh PWD, has won an Arbitration Award of Rs 19.36 crore against Shimla. The case is related to the road projects related to the widening, strengthening and geometric improvement of NH-88 (now NH-103) between Kandar Bridge and Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh.
The tribunal has approved the Arbitration Award in favor of Sagal India with future interest at the rate of 9% per annum from October 4, 2025. The company said that this would have a positive impact on its financial situation. The arbitration was associated with section-III of the respective projects.
Sagal India was listed on BSE and NSE on 8 August 2024. Its IPO of Rs 1,252.66 crore was filled 14 times. The IPO price was Rs 401 but now its share is trading below this price. The stock closed at Rs 269 on BSE on Friday, July 4. This price is 33 percent less than the IPO price. At the same time, the current price of the stock on BSE on BSE is 30 percent lower than Rs 386.05.
The company’s market cap is close to Rs 4700 crore. The stock has come down 21 percent in 6 months. At the same time, it has climbed 10 percent in only 2 weeks. The stock has seen a record high of Rs 425 and a record of Rs 229 on BSE so far. By the end of March 2025, the promoters stake in Sagal India.
The company’s January-March 2025 was Rs 991.82 crore, net profit of Rs 69.65 crore and earnings per share at the standalone basis in the January-March 2025 quarter. During the entire financial year 2024-25, net profit was Rs 270.25 crore, revenue was recorded at Rs 3,384.78 crore on standalone basis and Rs 16 crore per share.
