
Stock in Focus: Bhavish Aggarwal-owned Ola Electric has started mass deliveries of its new 4680 Bharat Cell power vehicle. The company claims that it has become the first company in India to own the entire value chain from battery cells to battery packs and vehicle manufacturing. Its first product is S1 Pro+ (5.2kWh), which has been introduced with more range, better performance and advanced safety features.
New beginning with 4680 Bharat Cell technology
Ola Electric says that this technology gives the scooter more range, better thermal management, high performance and stronger safety. Ola Electric spokesperson said that the enthusiasm among the customers about this scooter is very high and the deliveries are being completed rapidly.
Fast performance and advanced security features
According to Ola Electric, the S1 Pro+ (5.2kWh) is powered by a 13 kW motor, which propels the scooter from 0-40 kmph in 2.1 seconds. It is considered fast in its segment. The scooter offers a range of up to 320 km with IDC (DIY mode). Riders can choose from four modes – Hyper, Sports, Normal and Eco.
In terms of safety also, the scooter offers dual ABS for the first time in its segment. Disc brakes are provided in both front and rear. The design has also been improved. Dual-tone seat, supportive foam, body-color mirrors, new die-cast aluminum grab handles, rim decals. The company is offering 6 color variations.
Big fall in shares of Ola Electric
Shares of Ola Electric closed at Rs 35.58 on Friday, down 1.50%. The stock has lost 23.57% in the last 1 month. At the same time, it has crashed by 61.43% in 1 year. This year i.e. in 2025, Ola’s share has fallen by 58.73%. The market cap of the company has come down to Rs 14.86 thousand crore.
